Candytuft (Iberis Sempervirens) - A hardy, low-growing, evergreen perennial that makes an excellent ground cover. It can be used as an edging or in rock gardens, as long as the soil has good drainage.
Start with Candytuft seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before frost ends. Press seeds into soil and water regularly. Iberis Sempervirens seeds can be started outdoors after frost season. Candytuft is drought tolerant and prefers full sun. Some gardeners cut back plants after blooming for repeated summer flowers. Iberis is a beautiful, low-growing, flowering ground cover.
