Do well in the rock garden, front of the border or in containers.

Aster (Callistephus Tall Double Gremlin Red) - Attract some attention to your flower borders and start some Aster seeds! Aster Callistephus will definitely attract lots of attention as they are tall with large, double blooms that are incredibly showy. These red Aster flowers are huge and have many petals giving them the appearance of a tiger's paw. Tiger Paw Aster is another name that they are often called. This variety has a strong, upright growth habit and reaches nearly 30 inches in height.

Start Aster seeds indoors 6 - 8 weeks before the end of frost, or for areas with long growing seasons, the Aster  seeds can be started directly outdoors in a prepared seedbed. This Aster is very heat resistant and virtually worry free. It will produce non-stop blooms from summer until the first hard frost in fall. Deadheading helps to keep the plant tidy and promotes continuous blooming.
Start the Aster seeds in the early spring. Press the flower seeds into the soil and lightly cover them. Transplant Aster plants outside into a position of full sun to partial shade. They also prefer well-drained soil.
