Mizuna Mustard seeds, specifically the Red Streaks variety, boasts a delicate mustard flavor that adds a tasty kick to both baby leaf and full-size salads. With its visually appealing splash of red and quick growth, this variety exhibits excellent heat resistance and is less likely to bolt early like other lettuce varieties. Approx. 17,000 seeds/oz.
Mizuna, a type of mustard green, is native to East Asia, particularly Japan. It is now cultivated in many other parts of Asia and has gained popularity due to its unique flavor and nutritional benefits. Excellent for sukiyaki, shabu shabu, yosenabe, ohitashi, hariharinabe, pickling, and salads.Mizuna, shui cai, kyona.
This early maturing Japanese mustard, also known as kyona, has long slender stems and dark green, serrated leaves. Both cold and heat tolerant and slow to bolt, it is a vigorous green that branches prolifically. Suitable for harvesting at any stage, microgreens to mature plants. Cut-and-grow-again methods apply to this vegetable. Mizuna has become very popular as a salad green and is also delicious cooked.

SOWING SEEDS, PLANTING February-April and August-October. Direct sow in lines or blocks, or under cover for winter cropping.
