We simply cannot get enough of these for stir fries. They are so crisp and sweet we eat them raw in salads as well.
Plant early and harvest early. Sugar Ann Snap Pea is best picked small (but filled out) when it is crisp, juicy and sweet. Doesn't tolerate hot weather. Making it perfect for the early season. Sugar Ann will be the first peas on your table. The perfect sugar snap pea for early spring or late summer planting.

How to Grow : Pea Seeds can be sown outdoors in full sun after the final spring frost. They can also be planted in the fall for a quick harvest. Soak seeds in warm water beforehand for better germination, then thin out the strongest ones for spacing of 6-9". Perfect for growing various types of peas in organically rich and well-drained soil.

Harvest : Different pea varieties have varying signs of ripeness, so it is important to know which one you are planting. Traditional English shelling peas have a tough, inedible shell and mature the quickest, while sugar snap peas have a flavorful edible pod and take slightly longer to mature. Snow peas, commonly used in Asian cuisine, take the longest to mature and have small seeds and flat, edible pods. For the sweetest flavor, harvest pea pods when they are 2-3" in length and carefully cut them from the vine instead of twisting or pulling them off.

Culinary Uses : These sugar snap peas, unlike snow peas, have a plump shape. They can be eaten raw as a sweet snack or cooked in a sauteed dish with butter, garlic, and seasoning. They are also a great addition to pastas, salads, and stir fries due to their early harvest time, increased sweetness, and lack of strings.
