The flowers on this Bright Diamond Lily, are white, and somewhat trumpet shaped, but face upwards like an Asiatic lily would. They have a longer vase life, making them a good choice for cut flowers, and are also slightly fragrant too!
For optimal growth of your lily bulbs, it is recommended to plant them either in spring or early fall in an area with well-drained soil and partial shade.
The bulbs should be planted 2-3 times their height deep, pointed end up, and spaced 6-12 inches apart. Adequate watering after planting is crucial. Planting in groups of three or more is advised, in a location sheltered from strong winds and with some afternoon shade. To ensure healthy growth, regularly water and fertilize with a high-potassium fertilizer until 6 weeks after flowering. It is important to leave the foliage in place after blooming to strengthen the bulb for the next season, and to reduce watering and remove foliage when the leaves turn yellow.
