Size: 3 PLANTS

Brighten a shaded garden corner with Lamium 'Silver Beacon' live plants. Silvery foliage brings light and contrast beneath shrubs, along shaded paths, and at the edge of a woodland-style border. Its low, spreading growth also makes an attractive trailing accent in containers.

What You Receive

  • Live Lamium 'Silver Beacon' plants, not seeds.
  • Choose a pack of 3 or 10 plants.
  • Botanical name: Lamium maculatum.
  • A foliage-focused perennial groundcover for shaded planting areas.

Garden and Container Uses

Use this low-growing lamium to soften border edges, fill gaps around established shrubs, or spill over the rim of a planter. Pair its silvery leaves with contrasting green foliage for a layered shade-garden display. Give spreading stems room to develop and trim them back when they reach beyond the intended area.

Care on Arrival

Unpack promptly and check the root area for moisture. Water gently if dry, allowing excess water to drain. Keep plants in a sheltered, shaded location while they recover from transit, then gradually introduce them to their intended garden conditions.

Planting

  • Choose partial to full shade, with protection from intense afternoon sun.
  • Prepare well-drained soil enriched with compost.
  • Set plants at the same soil level as their existing root ball.
  • Firm soil gently around the roots and water thoroughly.
  • For containers, use potting mix and drainage holes.

Watering and Maintenance

Keep the soil evenly moist during establishment without leaving roots waterlogged. Once plants settle in, check moisture regularly and water during dry periods. Trim untidy or spreading stems to maintain the shape you want, and remove damaged foliage as needed. Keep mulch away from plant crowns.

Seasonal Expectations

Allow time for newly planted lamium to establish before it fills a planting area. Growth, flowering, and winter foliage retention vary with climate, planting conditions, and care. Plants are sold for planting and are not guaranteed to arrive in flower.
