Size: 2 Bare root

Experience the beauty of Aquilegia Columbine MCKANA MIX (Bare root) perennial, a graceful and compact plant that thrives in cool, moist, well-drained soil. This deer, squirrel, and rabbit resistant plant produces brightly colored spurred flowers from late spring to summer, surrounded by mounds of fern-like, mid-green leaves.

Columbine Mix - McKana Giant is a beautiful, bi-colored flower variety perfect for sunny, moist borders. Attracting butterflies and bees, these flowers come in a mix of bright colors including red, purple, yellow, gold, and white. They are great for rock gardens, naturalizing, and adding a pop of color to bouquets and arrangements.

Planting Instructions: May be planted in any well-drained soil. Dig a hole large enough to encompass the roots without bending or circling. Set the plant in place so the crown (part of the plant where the root meets the stem) is about 1-2 inches below the soil surface. Cover with soil to the original soil surface and water thoroughly. Lift and divide large clumps in early spring and apply a generous 5-7cm (2-3in) mulch of well-rotted manure or garden compost around the plant. Divided specimens may take some time to establish since they don't like having their roots disturbed.
