Chile de Comida — literally “food chili” — is a rare heirloom variety from Mexico grown organically in a pesticide-free environment and germination-tested for quality. Medium-sized pendant pods grow 2.5–3.5 inches long with medium-thick flesh and a remarkable three-stage color progression from green through brown to red. A versatile culinary chili used extensively in traditional Mexican cooking — roasting, frying, stir-frying, and slow-cooked dishes.
