Coreopsis Auriculate Nana, also known as Ear-leaved Tickseed, Dwarf Tickseed, and Maysville Daisy, is a native of southeastern North America. This perennial plant grows in a mound, reaching 6-12 inches tall, and offers multiple benefits. It is commonly used as a border or edging plant, and its resistance to deer and rabbits makes it a popular choice.

Furthermore, this Coreopsis variety attracts pollinators. It can withstand both droughts and frost, and its yellow-orange flowers bloom from May to June. Deadheading can also encourage reblooming in the fall. Additionally, Coreopsis does well in containers and requires minimal maintenance. Planting Instructions: Dig a hole large enough to encompass the roots without bending or circling. Set the plant in place so the crown (part of the plant where the root meets the stem) is about 1-2 inches below the soil surface. Cover with soil to the original soil surface and water thoroughly. Easily grown in dry to medium wet, well-drained soil in full sun.

Thrives in poor, sandy or rocky soils with good drainage. Tolerant of heat, humidity, and drought. Prompt deadheading of spent flower stalks can be tedious for a large planting but does tend to encourage additional bloom. Plants may be sheared in mid to late summer to promote a fall rebloom and to remove any sprawling or unkempt foliage. Although species' plants freely self-seed, 'Moonbeam' is a sterile cultivar. Plants can spread somewhat invasively in the garden by rhizomes.
