This unique corn is new . It is an âoffshootâ of our Green Oxacana Dent Corn. These is large corn- like Earth tones and Bloody Butcher in size, but with kernels that are bright green and yellow in color. The ear is a mixture of the two colors- hence the correlation with the colors of Green Bay Packers and John Deere! It is a novelty corn - have some fun with it!! It has a maturity of about 95-100 days.

Green & Gold Dent
95 to 100 days â Although this dent corn variety can be ground for feed or flour, it is primarily grown by home gardeners and market growers for its unique, ornamental value. Green corn kernels are actually fairly uncommon.
The ears are large with a mix of bright green and golden-yellow kernels making it a popular novelty item with fans of a certain American tractor brand or the NFL team in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Green and Gold, or Green and Yellow, are also the school colors for many colleges, universities, and high schools, around the country. They are even the colors of our high school alma mater in Petaluma, California (go Casa Grande Gauchos!)
Green and Gold Dent' is a selection of 'Oaxacan Green' dent corn made by Bisek Gardens in Minnesota. Each packet contains one ounce, which is approximately 100 seeds.
Sowing:
Sow seeds directly in the garden in spring after soil has warmed. Does best in deeply cultivated soil that is high in nitrogen. To aid pollination, avoid planting in a single row. For succession, plant every 3 weeks until early summer.
