GREEN AND Red Mix Love-lies-Bleeding Mix Amaranthus Caudatus Flower

Most people are familiar with red Amaranthus Love-Lies-Bleeding flowers, but this unusual green-flowered variety is also an heirloom that is catching on fast! It grows easily from flower seed and makes a striking addition to any flower garden. All summer long (and sometimes even into fall!) your garden will be filled with lime-green blooms on weeping stems up to 2 feet long! The prostrate 18-24 inch stems make perfect additions to large arrangements. They also dry well and work into dried arrangements nicely.
Green Amaranthus grows quickly and easily from flower seed in any well-drained soil receiving full sunshine. Expect it to reach anywhere from 3 to 5 feet tall and 18 to 30 inches wide. Green Love-Lies-Bleeding flower seed can be sown indoors 6 weeks before last frost and transplanted outdoors. The flower seed can also be sown directly outdoors after danger of frost.
SOWING:
Support may be necessary.
Transplant: Sow 4-6 weeks before the last frost. Barely cover seed. Bottom water or mist to avoid covering seeds with displaced soil. Harden off by growing at 62-65°F (17-18°C) and transplant outside after last frost.
Direct seed:
After last frost, sow thinly, barely covering the seed. When seedlings have first true leaves, thin to 12-15" apart.
