A Mixed Carpet of Early-Season Color

Botanical snow crocus mix brings purple, lavender, white, and yellow flowers to the garden in late winter or early spring. These small, early-blooming crocuses suit clustered border plantings, lawn edges, and open areas beneath deciduous trees where they receive seasonal light.

Plant informal groups beside a walkway or beneath shrubs to create a varied, meadow-like display as winter fades. The mixed colors give each planting a natural look rather than the uniform effect of a single variety.

What You Are Ordering

  • Product: Mixed species crocus corms for planting, commonly sold as bulbs; not seeds or flowering potted plants.
  • Pack options: Choose 10, 25, or 100 corms. The size selector labels these packs as bulbs.
  • Color range: Purple, lavender, white, and yellow. Color proportions vary; equal numbers of each color are not guaranteed.
  • Bloom season: Late winter to early spring, depending on climate and seasonal weather.
  • Listed hardiness: USDA zones 3–8.

Fall Planting

Choose full sun to partial shade and well-drained soil. Under trees or shrubs, select a spot that receives light while the crocus leaves are actively growing. Avoid places that stay waterlogged.

  • Plant in fall before the ground freezes.
  • Place corms flat side down with pointed tips facing upward.
  • Plant approximately 3–5 inches deep and 2–3 inches apart, following any specific instructions supplied with the corms.
  • Arrange in loose clusters for a naturalistic display.
  • Water thoroughly after planting to settle the soil.

After Flowering and Naturalizing

Leave foliage intact until it yellows and dies back naturally so the corms can replenish their reserves. If planting in a lawn, delay mowing that area until the leaves have finished.

Corms may return and gradually multiply where conditions are suitable. The rate of spreading and repeat flowering depends on drainage, climate, and care, rather than a promise of rapid multiplication. Species crocuses often bloom ahead of larger Dutch hybrids, but the difference is not a fixed number of weeks.

Squirrels and other small mammals may disturb corms. Protect new plantings where needed. Container plantings require drainage and winter protection suited to your local conditions.

Ornamental Use Only

This is a spring-flowering ornamental crocus mix, not saffron crocus. Do not harvest it for saffron or eat the corms or other plant parts. Keep planting stock away from children and pets.
