Planting Instructions
- Plant in a full sun, well-drained location — well-drained soil is the key requirement for bearded iris.
- Plant rhizomes at the soil surface — the tops must be visible. Spread roots downward in the soil. The most common mistake is planting too deep.
- Space approximately 18" apart for mass plantings.

- Drought tolerant once established — excellent for warm, dry climates.
- Fertilize in early spring and late summer.
- Divide clumps every 3–4 years (August) to maintain blooming vigor.
