Swordleaf Dwarf Rush Seeds
Add compact, deep-green texture to moist borders and pond edges with Juncus ensifolius. Also known as dwarf rush or daggerleaf rush, this perennial forms clumps of sword-shaped leaves topped by rounded, dark brown to purplish flower clusters in midsummer.

Where to grow

Starting from seed
Surface-sow on a moist seed-starting mix and do not cover the seeds, as light is required for germination. Keep the mix consistently moist at approximately 64โ72ยฐF. Germination typically takes 21โ28 days. The listed sowing rate is approximately 25 seeds per plant.
Transplanting and care
Grow seedlings in a bright location until they reach about 4 inches tall. Gradually harden them off before transplanting outdoors, spacing plants approximately 10 inches apart. Maintain moist to wet soil and monitor spreading where a compact planting is desired.
