How to Plant Caladium Bulbs

Plant tubers knobby side up (eye buds facing up), 1–1½ inches deep and 4–6 inches apart. Wait until soil temperature is consistently above 65°F before planting outdoors — cold soil causes tubers to rot. For indoor growing, keep in a warm room with bright indirect light until outdoor temperatures are suitable. Tubers planted upside down will still emerge, just more slowly.
