Brugmansia suaveolens ‘Red’ — Angel Trumpet — is a breathtaking fast-growing tropical shrub producing enormous, trumpet-shaped blooms in deep red to orange-red that can reach up to 20 inches long. Heavily fragrant — especially in the evening — and capable of producing dozens to hundreds of blossoms simultaneously from midsummer through frost. Grows 6–8 feet tall; an outstanding container plant for decks and patios, and can be overwintered indoors in cold climates. Hardy in zones 8–11; grown as a tender perennial or annual elsewhere. All parts of the plant are toxic; deer and rabbit resistant.

Growing Guide
Seed preparation: Soak seeds for 24 hours in lukewarm water before sowing. Sow in cell packs or flats; press into soil and barely cover. Light is required for germination.
Germination: Keep at 60–70°F; germination in 21–60 days. Transplant seedlings into 3-inch containers when large enough to handle. Set out in the garden 4 feet apart after all frost danger has passed.
Site and soil: Full sun to part sun. Rich soil with ample moisture for best performance; tolerates almost any well-drained soil with average water. Can be brought back indoors for winter — provide some light and minimal water in a frost-free location.
