Dahlia Golden Torch
Striking dahlia with showy ball shaped heads that appear on strong, sturdy stems. The double blooms form in profusion throughout the season in a dazzling sunshine yellow and certainly stand out from the crowd This ball-type variety bears unique orb-shaped blooms made up of tightly packed tubular petals. Though Mirella's form is outstanding,
it's the color that really turns heads. They make the perfect choice for cut-flower bouquets or a lovely border flower that works well with any light, bright or dark perennials you can find.
Easy-to-grow dahlias are tolerant of many soil types and deer resistant. If you live in zones 3-6, dig tubers in fall and store in a cool, dry place til next year.
Hummingbirds and butterflies will come visit the garden as soon as soon as the blooms open up, coming and going throughout the season. This variety is so gorgeous, be sure to plant extras so youll have plenty to cut and bring inside to show off.
Dahlias are hardy in zones 8 -10. Dahlias are susceptible to cold so be careful not to plant them too early and be sure to dig them up and store them in a frost-free place before old Jack Frost comes calling if you are planting them in a cooler zone! Your new Dahlias tubers can be stored in the refrigerator until planting time or get a head start on spring and start them indoors in a sunny window.
