This perennial loves the company of climbing roses and attracts hummingbirds and butterflies. Venosa Violacea Clematis needs occasional pruning to retain its decorative shape. The foliage is composed of medium green leaves which are often hidden by the abundance of flowers. Venosa Violacea Clematis prefers at least six hours of sun daily, but with proper care, it will grow profusely in partial shade as well. Well drained soil with plenty of nutrients and adequate amounts of water will keep this plant flourishing throughout the season. Blooms July, August and September. Pruning type 3.
