Size: 5 Bulbs

Aqua is a new introduction to the Hyacinth family, in the most beautiful light blue color. This hyacinth will fill every park and garden with its sweet fragrance.

Hyacinth bulbs yield traditional, highly fragrant flower spikes in vibrant solid hues. Ideal for large-scale plantings, borders, and container arrangements, they enhance any landscaping design with their striking presence and scent. Perfect for professional gardeners seeking reliable, aromatic blooms in bulk.

Hyacinths are great for forcing as cut flowers or potted plants. They bloom for a long time, grow about 10 inches tall, and flower in mid-spring, pairing well with early tulips.

Hyacinth bulbs are deer resistant and will perennialize if the foliage is allowed to die down.
Outdoor Beds
Choose a well-drained site for planting hyacinths. Avoid areas where water pools for more than 5-6 hours after rain. Improve drainage by adding 2-3 inches of organic material like peat moss, compost, bark, or manure. Hyacinths prefer full sun but benefit from some afternoon shade in hot climates. They do not tolerate soggy soil or standing water.
Dig holes and plant the hyacinths bulbs 7-8” deep and 6” apart. The bulbs are round, larger than a golf ball and have papery skins. Plant them with the pointed end facing up.
After planting, water hyacinths well to settle the soil around the bulbs. Roots will form in the autumn. Top growth and fragrant flowers will develop in the spring.
When in bloom, feel free to cut hyacinths flowers for small bouquets. This will not hurt the plants and having scented blooms to bring indoors is one reason to grow hyacinths.
After blooming has finished for the season leave the foliage in place; don't cut it off. The leaves will gather sunlight, create food through photosynthesis and strengthen the bulb for the future. Water as needed during active growth periods; about 1" of moisture per week is a good estimate.
By early summer the leaves will yellow and die back as the plant slips into dormancy. Foliage many be removed at this point. Your hyacinths will rest until next spring's show.
