SIZE: 1/4 LB PACK

Grow a blend of mild, peppery, and spicy greens with Sprouter’s Choice sprouting seed mix. This seven-variety blend combines broccoli, radish, arugula, cress, mizuna, tatsoi, and cabbage for fresh texture and varied flavor in home-grown greens.

Pack options

Choose ¼ lb, 1 lb, or 3 lb. One cart quantity purchases one selected pack. Packs are sold by weight, not seed count. You are ordering seeds to grow, not ready-to-eat sprouts or harvested microgreens. Ingredient proportions are not specified.

What is in the mix?

  • Broccoli: mild brassica flavor.
  • Radish: a sharper, spicy note.
  • Arugula: peppery flavor.
  • Cress: a lively peppery bite.
  • Mizuna: mild mustard character.
  • Tatsoi: mild leafy-green flavor.
  • Cabbage: a milder counterpoint to the spicier ingredients.

Flavor and growth rate vary with growing conditions and harvest stage. This blend is not sold with a quantified vitamin, antioxidant, or sulforaphane analysis.

Choose a method suited to the blend

Arugula and cress can form a gel-like coating when wet. A blanket overnight soak and standard jar routine may not suit this mixed seed blend. Follow the packet or supplier instructions for this particular mix and the directions for your growing equipment. Tray-based microgreen growing can make it easier to manage these moisture-sensitive ingredients.

Use seed specifically intended for edible sprout or microgreen production, with its suitability and handling instructions confirmed on the packaging. Do not substitute treated garden seed.

Microgreen tray growing

  • Wash hands and clean the growing tray, tools, and work surface before starting.
  • Use potable water and a clean growing medium intended for edible crops.
  • Spread seeds evenly over a moist surface without piling them into thick layers.
  • Maintain moisture without standing water and provide ventilation.
  • Provide suitable light as seedlings emerge, following the equipment or packet guidance.
  • Harvest with clean scissors above the medium when shoots reach a useful size; avoid incorporating roots or growing medium.

The former listing suggested approximately 7–12 days for microgreens. Treat this as an estimate, not a guaranteed harvest window. Ingredients may develop at different rates, and temperature, light, and growing method affect readiness.

If growing sprouts

Use the blend-specific sprouting directions rather than assuming every ingredient needs the same soak. Follow rinsing, drainage, temperature, and sanitation instructions carefully. The previous estimate of 3–7 days describes a possible growing period, not confirmation that sprouts are safe to eat at that age.

Important food-safety guidance

Warm, moist sprouting conditions can also support harmful bacteria. Rinsing does not eliminate this risk. Children, older adults, pregnant people, and people with weakened immune systems should avoid raw or lightly cooked sprouts. Thorough cooking reduces the risk associated with sprouts.

Discard growth that smells unpleasant, becomes slimy, or shows suspected mold. Appearance and smell alone cannot establish that sprouts are free of harmful bacteria. Keep growing equipment clean and avoid cross-contamination from raw meat, dirty surfaces, or reused growing medium.

Harvest, storage, and kitchen use

Handle harvested greens with clean hands and equipment. Refrigerate promptly, keep away from raw meat and other contamination sources, and use while fresh. Do not treat the former 3–5 day storage estimate as a safety guarantee.

Use microgreens as a garnish for bowls, soups, and sandwiches where appropriate. For sprouts, choose thoroughly cooked preparations rather than relying on a brief toss at the end of cooking. Store unused seed sealed in a cool, dry place, following any packet-specific storage directions.
