The oshiro uri, a light green, oval-shaped melon, is a top choice for pickling in Japan. Its fruits boast a crunchy white flesh and can grow up to 14 inches in length and 4-5 inches in diameter. This vine-like plant benefits from lateral branching and may require hand pollination.
