Growing Instructions
Growing onions is simple: If you can poke a hole into the ground, you can grow an onion from a little plant.
Plan to put your onion plants in the ground as soon as the soil can be worked, and immediately after your last expected frost date.
The cool temperatures, and the fact that the soil is still moist, is actually beneficial to the development of onion bulbs.
Prepare the garden row for your onion plants by digging it to a depth of 4 inches. Each plant will start growing within days after you plant.
