Sowing and Establishment

Start seeds in trays with a fine, well-draining seed-starting mix, or sow outdoors after frost danger has passed. Water gently and keep the growing medium evenly moist without waterlogging. Give emerging seedlings plenty of light.

Gradually acclimate indoor-grown seedlings to outdoor conditions before transplanting. Space plants to allow room for branching and airflow.

Growing Care

• Choose a sunny planting site with good drainage.
• Water regularly while young plants establish, avoiding standing water.
• Check container moisture frequently, especially during warm or windy weather.
• Remove faded flowers to keep plants tidy and encourage further blooms.

Flowering time and plant size vary with sowing date, local climate, and growing conditions.
