Warm season annual. Dill is an important host plant for caterpillars of swallowtail butterflies.

The Bouquet Dill is an annual and should be planted in the springtime. This herb requires full sun exposure. Direct sow. Plant seeds a fourth of an inch deep and space every eighteen inches. Forty to sixty days until mature. This is a self-seeding bush variety. Plant every eight to ten days for a continuous harvest.
