Plant Type: Perennials ,Pot Lilies
Asiatic lilies are probably the most common and easily grown type of hybrid lily. They typically bear clusters of wide-flaring flowers atop strong stems. The upright stems are lined with glossy green, narrow, lance-shaped leaves. Once they have flowered they will not bloom again until the following year, so be sure to plant them with ornamentals that look great later in the season.
Lilium Golden Joy is part of the Lily Joy Series and is a stunning dwarf growing, short stemmed Asiatic Lily. Growing to only 60cm tall they are perfect for patio containers, pots or for growing at the front of the border. 14/16cm bulbs supplied. Lily Golden Joy produces wonderful golden yellow/orange flowers.
Longiflorum Asiatic Hybrid Lily Bulbs should be planted as soon as possible. Ideally in the Spring but can be planted up until the Autumn. Find a location with full sun or partial shade with well-drained soil. Longiflorum Asiatic Hybrid Lily can tolerate most soil types, Acidic or Alkaline. Arrange the Lilies in an odd-number grouping.
If planting in the garden, plant the bulbs about 5-8" apart. Space the groupings at least 3 feet apart. If planting in pots, plant 3 bulbs in a 10-14" 'patio type' pot using good-quality, multi-purpose compost. Plant the bulbs with 4-6" of soil above them.
