The White-Stem Sorrel — Rare, Medicinal, and Uniquely Flavored
Jamaican White Sorrel (Hibiscus sabdariffa) is a rare and treasured heirloom variety featuring a distinctive white stem — organically grown and hand-harvested from our own garden. Exceptionally hardy, this drought-tolerant perennial withstands both heat and cold extremes, attracts pollinators, and offers an abundance of culinary and medicinal uses. The crunchy flower calyx can be eaten fresh as a snack, blended into smoothies, or steeped into the iconic tangy sorrel drink. Long prized in Caribbean and Jamaican folk medicine for a wide range of health benefits.
