Bearded Iris 'Batik' – No Two Blooms Are the Same
If you've ever wanted a flower that feels truly one-of-a-kind, Bearded Iris 'Batik' (Iris germanica) delivers exactly that. A striking Border Bearded Iris, 'Batik' features royal purple standards and falls dramatically streaked and mottled with white — and like actual batik fabric, no two blooms are ever alike. The effect is enchanting and conversation-stopping. A three-time winner of the American Iris Society Award, it's as acclaimed as it is beautiful.
Growing to just 24 inches tall, 'Batik' is perfectly scaled for mixed borders and smaller garden beds, where it partners beautifully with columbine, salvia, and other spring perennials. Hardy across Zones 3–10 with no cold period required, it's exceptionally easy to grow and drought tolerant once established.
