Golden Trumpets Framed by Creamy White Petals

Narcissus 'Las Vegas' brings bold two-tone flowers to the early- to mid-spring garden. Each bloom pairs a frilled lemon-yellow trumpet with creamy white surrounding petals, creating a bright contrast in beds, borders, and containers.

Plant a group beside a path or near an entrance to enjoy the flowers up close as the garden wakes from winter. Combine with other spring bulbs for layered color, or grow a dedicated cluster for a simple yellow-and-white display.

What You Receive

  • Product: Las Vegas daffodil bulbs for planting, not seeds or flowering potted plants.
  • Pack options: Choose 5, 10, or 25 bulbs.
  • Flower type: Trumpet daffodil.
  • Color: Lemon-yellow trumpet with creamy white petals.
  • Bloom season: Early to mid-spring; timing varies with local conditions.
  • Uses: Garden beds, borders, and containers with drainage.

The options select bulb quantity, not flower color. Flowering and repeat performance depend on bulb establishment, climate, and care; a specific bloom date or annual return is not guaranteed.

Arrival Care and Fall Planting

Unpack promptly. Until planting, store bulbs in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place away from food, children, and pets. Avoid damp, sealed packaging.

  • Plant in fall when soil has cooled and before it freezes solid, allowing time for root development.
  • Choose a sunny site with well-drained soil. Avoid locations that remain waterlogged.
  • Plant pointed ends upward, following the depth and spacing supplied with your bulbs and adjusting for bulb size and soil conditions.
  • Water after planting to settle soil around the bulbs, allowing excess water to drain.

In warm-winter regions, check local suitability and chilling requirements before planting. Avoid relying on a single calendar planting date for every climate.

Container Growing

Use a container with drainage holes and a suitable, well-drained potting mix. Allow enough depth for planting and root growth. Containers are more exposed to temperature extremes than garden soil, so winter protection may be needed according to your local climate. Keep soil from becoming saturated during storage or winter dormancy.

Watering and Aftercare

Provide moisture during active growth when rainfall is insufficient, without keeping the soil constantly wet. Feed only as needed using a fertilizer suitable for bulbs, following its label and local soil recommendations.

Remove faded flowers if desired, but leave healthy green foliage until it yellows and dies back naturally. Do not tie leaves into bundles or cut them while green; they replenish the bulbs for the next growing season. Remove dead foliage once dormant.

If established clumps become crowded and flowering declines, divide after foliage has died back using locally appropriate timing.

Cut Flowers and Safety

Enjoy cut stems in their own vase for a straightforward spring arrangement. Handle cut stems carefully and wash hands and tools after contact with sap.

Daffodils are toxic if eaten, especially the bulbs, and sap may irritate skin or eyes. Never confuse bulbs with edible onions or garlic. Keep bulbs and plants away from children and pets, and wear gloves if sensitive to sap.
