Tulsi – Holy Basil (Ocimum tenuiflorum)

Tulsi — Holy Basil — is one of the most revered plants in the world. Sacred in the Hindu tradition and regarded as the most important herb in Ayurvedic medicine, a living Tulsi plant has graced Indian courtyards for thousands of years, believed to purify the home and support mind, body, and spirit. This green-leaf Ram Tulsi variety grows into a large, bushy, intensely aromatic plant with a distinctive spicy, clove-like, musky flavor and fragrance unlike any other basil.

Used across Thai, Indian, and Vietnamese cuisines — fresh in curries, steeped into teas, garnishing noodle dishes — and taken medicinally for centuries to soothe fevers, support respiratory health, relieve stress, and boost immunity. Modern science is confirming what Ayurvedic practitioners have long known.
