Thymus zygis, also known as Spanish thyme or white thyme, is a perennial herb that belongs to the subshrub family. It is native to the Iberian Peninsula, which encompasses Portugal, Spain, Algeria, and Morocco.

The leaves are entire, linear to narrow elliptic, slightly hirsute, and have an aromatic scent with a grayish green color. This perennial herb is perfect for cushion-forming, low-growing, and evergreen ground cover in dry and rocky areas of Spain, Portugal, and Macchia. It has been traditionally used in kitchens as an herb and for its medicinal properties.

Rapidly germinating, keep seed in constant moisture (not wet) with temperatures of about +20°C [68°F]. Seeds must be covered thinly. Do not cover very small seeds, but tightly press into the earth. Keep in cooler conditions after germination occurs.
