Agrostemma ‘Ocean Pearl’ Seeds – White Corn Cockle

Also known as: Corn Cockle, White Corn Cockle

Picture a sun-drenched cottage garden in full summer bloom — tall, graceful stems swaying gently in the breeze, each one crowned with a large, silky-white flower delicately speckled with dark markings in the throat. That’s Agrostemma ‘Ocean Pearl’, one of the most elegant and easy-to-grow annual wildflowers you can scatter in your garden. Once a beloved weed of European cornfields, this refined white variety brings timeless charm to borders, cutting gardens, and cottage-style landscapes.

Larger-flowered than other corn cockles, ‘Ocean Pearl’ produces an abundance of pure white blooms with satin-smooth petals and a fine speckled line running down the center of each — a subtle detail that makes it truly special. It thrives in poor soil, blooms freely all summer, and makes a stunning cut flower.

Why Gardeners Love It

  • 🌸 Large, pure white blooms — silky satin petals with delicate dark speckled throats
  • ✂️ Excellent cut flower — long stems, long-lasting in arrangements
  • 🌱 Thrives in poor soil — no need for rich beds or heavy feeding
  • 🐝 Pollinator magnet — attracts bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds
  • 🌞 Long bloom season — mid spring through mid summer
  • 🌿 Easy to grow — direct sow and enjoy; perfect for beginners
