Select your preferred size before adding to cart. Packs are sold by weight; exact seed counts vary. This listing is for planting seeds, not live plants or harvested peas.

Sowing

Direct sow in a sunny position with well-drained soil. In many climates, spring sowing begins approximately 4–6 weeks before the last expected frost, once soil is workable and around 40°F or warmer. Adjust timing to local conditions and avoid saturated soil.

Sow approximately 2 inches deep and 2 inches apart, following any instructions supplied with the seed lot. A pea-compatible inoculant may be used according to its label directions.

Growing and Support

Keep soil evenly moist without waterlogging it, especially as plants flower and develop pods. Weed carefully to avoid disturbing roots. Mulch can help conserve moisture.

A low trellis or mesh support can help keep vines and pods upright and make harvesting easier. Do not rely on the previous listing's promise that no support is needed. Monitor for pests and disease; resistance does not mean immunity, and no disease-resistance guarantee is made for this seed lot.

Harvesting

Pick pods while they are tender and mostly flat, before the peas inside become prominently swollen. Check plants frequently and harvest gently to avoid damaging vines. Pod size and harvest timing vary with conditions, so texture and development are better guides than a fixed day count.

Kitchen Use and Storage

Wash harvested pods before eating or cooking. Enjoy fresh, steam lightly, or stir-fry briefly to preserve their crisp texture. Refrigerate harvested snow peas and use promptly for best quality. Follow a tested recipe when freezing or preserving. Do not eat the planting seeds supplied in the pack.
