Allium roseum — known as Rosy Garlic — is a delicate, charming ornamental allium native to the Mediterranean, producing pretty lilac-pink globe flower heads with large, open petals on 14-inch stems that bloom in late spring and early summer. A graceful bridge between spring and summer flowering plants, Roseum naturalizes readily in rockeries, borders, and sunny slopes, and is equally attractive as a front-of-border plant or container bulb. One of the most affordably priced ornamental alliums, it's ideal for mass planting and naturalizing. Deer resistant and a classic Old World plant with centuries of garden history.

Why Gardeners Love It

  • Mediterranean native — drought-tolerant and naturally adapted to warm, sunny spots
  • Ideal for rockeries, sunny borders, and naturalized plantings
  • Compact 14-inch height — perfect for front-of-border and containers
  • Deer resistant
  • One of the most affordable ornamental alliums for large-scale plantings
