To grow Sugar Daddy peas, simply plant the seeds in spring once the soil can be worked, for a harvest in the summer. Alternatively, sow pea seeds in July (or approximately 60 days before the first frost) for a fall harvest.

Sugar Daddy snap peas are known for their irresistible sweetness. According to growers, these peas never disappoint, making them the perfect choice for a hassle-free snap pea with no strings attached.

  • 1 oz - Approximately 163 Seeds
  • 4 oz - Approximately 652 Seeds
  • 1 lb - Approximately 2,608 Seeds
  • 5 lbs - Approximately 13,040 Seeds
  • 25 lbs - Approximately 65,200 Seeds

Growing: To start growing Sugar Daddy peas, plant the seeds in a full sun location in fertile soil. Work in organic compost before you sow. Plant the seeds about 1 inch (2.5 cm.) deep and 3 inches (8 cm). apart. Space the rows 2 feet (61 cm.) apart. If you want to put in supports, do this at the time of planting.
Cultivation: Prefers cool temperatures. Prepare fertile, well-drained soil. Sow seeds in early to late spring after last frost or sow seeds in fall 8-10 weeks before first frost date. Keep soil moist. Heavy watering during flowering can interfere with pollination. Train to climb a vertical support at least 6' tall. Fertilize as needed with a balanced fertilizer. Too much nitrogen will produce lush foliage and result in poor flowering and fruiting. Harvest when pods barely begin to swell.
