The Classic Italian Frying Pepper — 5× Milder Than a Jalapeño
Cubanelle Pepper (Capsicum annuum) is the classic Italian frying pepper — long, thin-walled, and extremely mild at just 0–1,000 SHU, making it roughly 5× milder than a jalapeño. Its delicate sweetness shines when sautéed, roasted, or stuffed. A staple of Italian-American and Caribbean cooking alike.
