AJI DULCE  2 SWEET HABANERO, A TRUE VENEZUELAN HEIRLOOM PEPPER! Looks like a habanero, smells like a habanero but it is a sweet pepper without heat.
Taste: Sweet, spicy and pungent, absolutely delicious, the heat! If you like the flavor and aroma of the Habanero but find them too hot then the Aji Dulce is for you. A favorite pepper used in making hallacas And Sofrito (sofrito is the base of most Spanish dishes).Ají dulce (Capsicum chinense) are fragrant sweet peppers. They are small and light green they will turn red as they mature on the plant. It closely resembles the habanero pepper however it does not have the intense heat. In Puerto Rico, it is known as ají dulce or ajicito (sweet pepper).

At Planting Time:
We plant all of our peppers with a good shovel full of compost in the planting hole, and then give them a good dose of compost tea every few weeks for the first 6 weeks of growth. We also mulch around each of our pepper plants with a good 1 to 2″ thick layer of compost.
Growing Hot Peppers in Containers
Peppers can be grown all year long in containers. It is suitable for apartment dwellers and gardeners who live in cool regions where the number of growing days are limited. Many pepper enthusiast grow peppers in pots so they can have fresh peppers all year long. It’s best to use 5 gallon containers so the roots do not get too over-crowded

Stressed wilty plant died in the ground

It arrived very wilted and beat up from transit. Wrapped in plastic, it needed to be transplanted right away. It perked up a little bit after watering, but the leaves all dropped in a few days and it didn't make it. Probably not a great choice for longer shipments.
