PLANTING INSTRUCTION:
Sowing: Parsley seeds are best sown indoors by gardeners to allow for a successful start. Soak the seeds overnight and plant them at a depth of 1/4", maintaining a temperature of 65-70 degrees F. Due to its known slow germination, sprouts may not appear for 3-5 weeks. Keep the soil evenly moist to ensure proper growth. When the average outdoor soil temperature reaches 60 degrees F, transplant the seedlings 6" apart in full sun or partial shade. This versatile plant also thrives in containers.
Growing: Parsley has limited root depth and should not be left to dry out for extended periods. Implement mulch to retain moisture and manage weed growth.
Harvesting: Gather the leaves as necessary, beginning with the larger outer leaves and cutting at least 10" of the stem with the leaves to promote the plant's well-being. The entire plant can be collected in one go, trimming it off just above the ground; this will allow for new growth of leaves. Use the leaves promptly or freeze them for long-term freshness.
