Fooled You Jalapeno Hot Peppers Seeds

Fooled You Jalapeno Hot Peppers Seeds

"Fooled You" jalapeño seeds produce unique, completely heat-free hybrid peppers with the crisp texture and robust flavor of a traditional jalapeño, but with 0 Scoville Heat Units (SHU). Enjoy the flavor of jalapeños without the burn in mild salsas, poppers, and pickled peppers.

Growing Instructions

• Start seeds indoors 6–8 weeks before the last expected frost, or sow outdoors after the danger of frost has passed and the soil is warm.
• Sow seeds about 1/4 inch deep in well-drained seed-starting mix. Keep the soil consistently moist and place in a warm, bright location.
• Once seedlings have several true leaves, harden them off gradually before transplanting.
• Plant in full sun with fertile, well-drained soil. Space plants according to your garden conditions, allowing room for good air circulation.
• Water regularly at the soil level and avoid letting the soil stay waterlogged.

Kitchen Uses

Use these heat-free jalapeños anywhere you want classic jalapeño flavor without the heat. Slice them into mild salsas, stuff them for poppers, chop them into relishes, or preserve them by pickling.

Harvest Instructions

• Harvest peppers when they have reached a usable size, feel firm, and are easy to remove from the plant.
• Pick green peppers for a crisp harvest, or leave them on the plant longer to develop more mature color and flavor.
• Use clean scissors or garden snips to cut peppers from the plant, leaving a short stem attached.
• Harvest regularly to encourage the plant to continue producing.
