This grass is suitable for dogs and cats, as it is beneficial for their diets. This low-maintenance plant, also known as intermediate wheatgrass, originated in Asia and was brought to the US for use as pasture and fodder. It can be grown in containers for indoor pets or planted in outdoor beds for pets that frequently spend time outside.

Cat , known as Hordeum vulgare variegate, Tabby Cat Grass, or Common Barley, is an annual native to western Asia and northern Africa. This plant is edible for cats and humans, providing vitamins and fiber. Flourishing in full sun, this plant offers an upright habit 12-24" tall and 10-12" wide. An excellent choice for feline friends, this plant also creates a calm aesthetic indoors or in landscape borders and containers. This fast-growing grass is low-maintenance and pairs well with Lavender, Salvia, Perovskia, Coreopsis, Marigold, and Zinnia. 

Ensure adequate sunlight. CAT GRASS requires direct sunlight for healthy growth. When planting outdoors, choose a sunny location, and for indoor plants, place near a windowsill with direct sun exposure. Firm and evenly moisten the soil, taking care not to overwater as it may damage the roots.
