By planting Jupiter's Beard seeds, your garden will attract hummingbirds, butterflies, and bees. This diversity of pollinators will help to create a vibrant ecosystem in your garden.Add lively color to your xeriscape with Jupiter's Beard, known for its red blooms and spear-shaped foliage. This perennial grows 24-32 inches tall and makes a beautiful cut flower. Also called Keys of Heaven or Red Valerian seeds.
Centranthus Red Valerian seeds produce long-lasting, drought tolerant plants that thrive in well-drained, ordinary garden soil with light shade or sun exposure. For optimal growth, plant seeds 12-15 inches apart in a sunny garden and deadhead to promote extended blooming. Bonus: only 1000 seeds cover 75 square feet!
Start Jupiter's Beard seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost. Keep moist until germination. Transplant outside after frost danger. Alternatively, sow directly outside in spring. Red Valerian is a self-sower. Remove old blooms to control spread.
