Sowing:
Start parsley seeds indoors by soaking them overnight, planting 1/4" deep at 65-70 degrees F. Transplant when outdoor soil is 60 degrees F, spacing 6" apart in sun or shade. Can also be grown as a container plant.
Growing: Parsley plants have shallow roots and require consistent moisture to thrive. Consider applying mulch to retain moisture and prevent weed growth.
Harvest as needed, taking large outer leaves first and removing at least 10" of stem to keep the plant healthy. Can be harvested all at once, more leaves will grow. Use immediately or freeze to preserve freshness. Italian Giant flat parsley is stronger in flavor than curled types.
