String of bananas is a rapidly growing, low-maintenance trailing succulent characterized by its distinctive glossy, banana-shaped foliage arranged in cascading tendrils. Perfect as a hanging houseplant, this drought-resistant specimen thrives with minimal care when placed near a warm, sun-drenched window. Its resilient nature and striking appearance make it an excellent choice for both novice and experienced plant enthusiasts.
Ensure that trailing tendrils are out of reach of curious kids and pets, as this plant can be toxic to both people and animals.1
- We recommend planting 4-5 starter plants per 10 inch basket. Use a well-drained soil in your baskets and plant your starter plants deep, allowing the elpot to be completely covered by the soil. If you are planting 4" pots, 1 plant per pot should be sufficient. Plant it directly in the middle of your pot.
- Best in fertile, well-drained soil. Keep soil moist, watering freely in dry weather. Apply a balanced liquid fertilizer monthly. Trim back as needed to keep neat and compact.
