Triumph: Triumph tulips, developed through hybridization, consist of a large class of cultivars, offering a wide range of colors and heights. They come in every possible shade of color possible for tulips, including some wonderful pastels. They are particularly esteemed for their beautiful, traditional "tulip" flower shape. They are a showy group with strong stems and are excellent choices for beds or borders. Poor weather during their flowering period will have little effect on these tulips. Many Triumph tulips are suitable for forcing; they make outstanding cut flowers with a long vase life. All in this group are also quite content in the garden.
Tulips look best in mass plantings. They make good container plants and are delightful cut flowers.
Tulip
Tulips are one of the worlds most recognizable and popular flowers. First cultivated in Turkey, tulips are widely associated with Holland. The tulip was brought to the Netherlands in the 17th Century. Quickly thereafter, “tulip mania” ensued and rare tulips could be sold for more than a house or even a Rembrandt painting! Prices went so high that “tulip mania” is considered one of the world’s first economic bubbles. The tulip remains a large part of the Dutch culture, as Holland is the foremost supplier of tulip bulbs. Select your desired size and color from the available option
