Their rich orange flowers deliver striking fall color that lasts right up until the first hard frost — making them one of the most rewarding investments you can make in your garden.

These live starter plants establish quickly and thrive in containers of all sizes, from market packs to half-bushel planters, as well as in-ground beds and borders.

  • 1 Plant — perfect for containers or accent spots
  • 3 Plants — ideal for borders, groupings, and landscape impact

Ships without pot. Plants are 8-inch pot size at time of shipping.

Growing Tips

  • Sunlight: Mums thrive in full sun — aim for 6 to 8 hours of direct light daily. Too little sun produces weak plants with fewer blooms.
  • Soil: Plant in rich, well-draining soil. Amend with compost or organic matter at planting for the strongest root development. Poor drainage will cause rot.
  • Watering: Water thoroughly at planting. Once established, aim for about 1 inch per week at the root zone.
  • Feeding: Apply a 5-10-10 fertilizer once or twice monthly during the growing season. Switch to a high-phosphorus formula for plants you plan to overwinter.
  • Deadheading: Remove spent flowers regularly to encourage continuous new blooms through the season.
  • Winter Care: Mulch around the base for cold protection. Many plants will re-emerge in spring.
  • Containers: Belgian Mums grow well in any container size — from small market packs to large half-bushel planters.

Slight variation in size and bloom stage is normal for live plants.
