The Migraine Herb — Beautiful Daisy Blooms with Centuries of Healing History

Feverfew (Chrysanthemum parthenium, syn. Tanacetum parthenium) is a beloved perennial herb that has been used as a natural remedy for migraine headaches for centuries — and is also one of the most charming ornamental herbs in the garden. Its cheerful white daisy-like blooms, deeply cut aromatic leaves, and hardy constitution make it a must-have for any herb garden. Organic, heirloom, open-pollinated, and Non-GMO.

Why Grow Feverfew?

  • Renowned Medicinal Herb: Dried leaves have been used for centuries to prevent migraines. Contains parthenolide — a compound with anti-inflammatory and antispasmodic properties. Also used for rheumatoid arthritis pain relief.
  • Beautiful Garden Plant: Masses of ¾ inch white daisy-like blooms from early to midsummer — excellent for cutting and drying for potpourri. Grows 36 inches tall.
  • Incredibly Adaptable: Thrives even in poor soils. Prefers full sun; keep drainage excellent to prevent mildew. Self-seeds freely for effortless naturalization.
  • Easy Harvest & Storage: Pick leaves in the morning after dew dries. Air dry on screens or hang stems upside down in bundles for long-lasting medicinal use.

Growing Guide

Start indoors 4–6 weeks before the last frost, or direct sow outdoors after frost danger passes. Thin or space plants 24 inches apart. Cover seeds thinly — light required for germination. Germination: 14–21 days at 68°F. USDA Zones 5–8. Height: 36 inches.
