Rosemary - also known as Rosmarinus officinalis - is a perennial herb with a delightful aroma that can elevate the taste of many dishes. Whether used in cooking sauces for pasta, marinades for chicken, or jerk sauce for summer grilling, this versatile herb adds a delicious touch. Its hardy nature and attractive appearance also make it a great choice for both culinary and decorative purposes. It is highly resistant to deer, drought, and pests, making it a great choice for landscaping. Additionally, it attracts beneficial insects and pollinators, and can be kept in a container for indoor use during the winter.
How To Grow : Some gardeners soak the Rosemary seeds before sowing to help prime the seed. Sow the herb seeds on the surface of the soil (indoors 6 - 8 weeks before last frost) or outdoors when temperatures have warmed up. Do not cover the Rosemary seeds as light is needed for germination.

For harvesting, flavor is best before plant blooms. Clip leaves and sprigs as needed and use fresh, or dry for later use. Leaves may be frozen as well.
