Ramnad Round Pepper – Mundu Chili / Gundu Molzuka (Capsicum annuum)
The Ramnad Round Pepper, also known as Mundu Chili or Gundu Molzuka (“fat chili” in Tamil), is one of the most distinctive and rare chili varieties from South India. Its plump, round, yellowish-red shape sets it apart visually from virtually every other Indian chili — and the heat is fully there. Used extensively in traditional Tamil Nadu and South Indian cooking, this rare gem is beloved by heat-seeking cooks and pepper collectors worldwide.
These seeds are hand-harvested from pesticide-free plants grown in the Caribbean Garden Seed collection — the same plants replanted from saved seed each year, keeping this rare variety true and alive.
