Growing Guide
Starting indoors: Sow 10–12 weeks before planting out. Petunia seeds are extremely tiny — press gently onto the soil surface without covering; light is required for germination. Keep the soil consistently wet for best results. Placing trays on top of a refrigerator provides steady warmth that aids germination.
Transplanting: Five to six weeks after sowing, transplant seedlings into 3-inch pots. Grow on in cooler temperatures with plenty of light. Harden off for 10–14 days before planting outdoors after the last frost date. Pinch tips at transplant time to encourage branching and a fuller plant.
Site and soil: Full sun; rich, well-drained soil. As heavy feeders, petunias benefit from regular applications of a balanced liquid fertilizer throughout the growing season.
