Allium 'His Excellency' commands attention with bold 5-inch diameter globe flower heads packed with spiky violet-blue florets, held high on stately 4-foot stems that tower over neighboring perennials in early summer. Like its giant allium cousins, His Excellency bridges the gap between late spring and summer with architectural drama, and its foliage stays green longer than similar varieties for an extended season of interest. Deer, vole, chipmunk, and rabbit resistant — an easy-care perennial that returns reliably year after year and makes an exceptional fresh or dried cut flower.

Planting & Care

Allow foliage to die back naturally after blooming. Deadhead to prevent self-seeding or leave seedheads for fall ornamental interest. Divide congested clumps right after flowering if needed.
