Planting Guide

Planting: Plant in any well-drained soil. Dig a hole large enough to accommodate the roots without bending or circling. Set the crown (where root meets stem) 1–2 inches below the soil surface. Backfill and water thoroughly.

Watering: Water immediately after planting. Daylilies prefer a deep watering once per week rather than light daily watering. Avoid waterlogged conditions.

Seasonal care: Remove spent blooms and dead foliage as needed. In late fall, cut foliage to ground level and mulch over the root zone to protect against hard freezes. In colder climates, spring planting is recommended. Avoid planting July–September in the South during high heat and humidity.
